Health Care is Not a Right

Since when did health care become a right? Even for children it is not. The declaration of independence lists the self evident rights as life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The word pursuit is key. You do not have the right to be happy, just the right to earn it.

- Welcome to government controlled health care. Sorry if I have the diesease I want the treatment. I don't care how sick I am if I have cancer I want the chemotherapy. If I faint and don't have a history of low blood pressure I want the brain scan.

- Which is not something that medicine is supposed to do and should not be a criteria for who gets care. Thank you for giving the best example yet though of why the government should not control who gets care.

- I am not sure I see the outrage here...why exactly is this a bad thing for them to do? Certainly the wording that is shown isn't bad. Crazy..I live in North Carolina and not seeing the issue here...sure could have done better things but highlighting the animals will make kids interested.

- Why ron paul can never win is he wants to get rid completly of social security, get rid of all welfare AND get rid of the federal reserve which has kept us from repeating the great depression. I like his foreign policy but his economic policy is ludicrous.

- I can see why they would be extra sensitive to this in Texas, but the students at the opposing high school were hopefully American's as well. (If they were not then that is a totally different story and should be dealt with). Seems a little overblown to me.

- glad it worked out and yes she should have gotten her coat when told to and should be punished for not doing that. Certainly the parents should have been more careful but I don't think this rises to criminal negligence.

- The better way to have done this study would have been to measure the attractiveness of men after and before the shot. Did the attractiveness go up as the immune response went up? Were the men attractive to begin with? Not a great sounding study from this article.

- The things that have been proven by scientific studies to be useful can be, but many things that it says work really don't. Simply being older does not make it better...in fact it usually makes things worse.

- Hmm. I am a biochemist by training (Master's in biochemistry from Wake Forest) and certainly we absorb chemicals when we smell. Pheromones are certainly real and I expect we do put them off like most other animals. However I am skeptical of this research for several reasons.
